🗳️ RESPECT THE VOTE | COUNCILMAN CASH GREEN | RESPECT THE GOATS
How much do you really know about the people making decisions that affect your community?
On this episode of Respect the Goats, hosts CEO P (The Greatest Debater) and Ya Favorite Cuzzin (The Interview King) sit down with Virginia Beach Councilman Cash Green for an in-depth conversation about local government, voting, public safety, education, and community leadership.
Councilman Green breaks down the responsibilities of city council, the school board, and state and federal representatives, explaining how government decisions affect everyday life.
We also discuss the controversial Virginia Beach Oceanfront curfew, the debate surrounding three Virginia constitutional amendments, political division, and why Green believes elected officials should be willing to think beyond party lines.
But this conversation goes beyond politics!
From his journey of earning a GED to serving on Virginia Beach City Council, Green shares his personal experiences, his commitment to youth sports, and his efforts to recognize Virginia legends like Timbaland, Teddy Riley, Joe Smith, and the late Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker.
Later, we're joined by Tanella Atkinson, Executive Director of the Cash Green Charitable Foundation, to discuss the foundation's community initiatives and plans for a Crisis Response Team focused on connecting individuals and families with resources and support.
